Dropping Roc Nation this year and going hat in hand to rich billionaires for a deal/help. After Roc Nation/Jay did so much to get him out of jail in the first place and help him start the prison reform stuff.

Meek did his part... did those prison reform rallies and whatever Jay asked of him.

Did u expect him to be there for years and years. He said in a interview that he left on good terms.

Then meek is being fake and not really for reforms.
Or he’s just being fake/disingenuous in his music because he has to be to keep making the money he makes…but he really is about reform, 🤷🏽‍♂️. I’m sure there are some feminist strippers out there lol, the money/tips supersedes their moral compasses while they’re working.

Or, you’re right and Meek is just a confused, lost idiot frontin.

People like this guy (and myself) sometimes need to realize that everyone (including myself, lol) wants money…they want to maximize their monies. Pushing for reform and speaking about black violence outside the studio is one thing…making music about it is a whole other something…and just being real, nigs don’t wanna hear that. Hip hip is youth culture, these babies don’t wanna hear that man, they don’t wanna eat their vegetables and you gotta understand that, they’re kids.

Meek is sticking to the script musically and talking about the stuff that got him rich…that just makes business sense. If you wanna attack someone about all this constant poison and negative stuff then bring the problems to the record companies that release it…the demo is brainwashed at this point to love this content…that’s the root problem, going at the artists is kinda weak. Meek said himself, they make more money when they talk about the killling and hustling and all that, 🤷🏽‍♂️…ask yourself why that is and then attack that

you either want better or you dont.
its that simple.

youre making it seem like promoting violence and ignorance is the only way to make money.

We all have choices.

The truth is Meek doesnt care like that (few people do)...
its just another means of getting attention/money.

would you be okay with rape rap if it made money?

All this focus on prison reform is slightly goofy because of all the time/attention we put on criminals forgetting the hood is mostly regular people that are trying to do something...
we put these criminals right next door to the regular people of the hood.
Making it so EVERYBODY is underperforming because they have to spend mental energy navigating around the same criminals the prison reform brigade is trying to save.

Ross & Meek have made music that speaks on other stuff though, it's not all violence. I think fans are hypocritical because there's rappers who only rap about that one thing and didn't add anything else.

Fans are hypocritical? while rappers talk about murder and death. While playing tennis, being worth millions, and living in the nicest neighborhoods.

Meek is basically who Pac would be if he never read a book and never got raised with knowledge of self. Just a dumb, emotional, petty, materialistic wave jumper in his second childhood as a near-40yo man. An entire lane was opened for him to do some special shyt with the prison reform thing. Instead he got into a rap beef and embarrassed himself, dropped some meh albums, reconciled with Drake, and snaked Jay after Jay literally saved his life. All while watching people like Nipsey and Starlito make the moves and type of music he should have been making.

What did Meek do to Jay?
