not really a Meek fan, his raps are cool sometimes tho. only like Dreams and Nightmares Intro, Slippin, and maybe like 7 other tracks

is this worth checking for or nah?

And now I'm here and I'm not black enough
Cause I'm not acting tough
Or making stories up 'bout where I'm actually from

:sas1:
That just shows his limited experience with black people. No one questions Cole or Sean or K. Dot.

This was more so during the beginning of his rise when a lot of haters and doubters were calling him soft because of the type of music he was making

Nah he said that shyt well into his run. And Kanye West had already broken that mold and no one questioned his blackness (his masculinity sure, but not blackness).

Kanye was never called soft, not gangster and the antithesis of what hiphop is suppose to be like Drake in 09.

The context of those bars I quoted is about his come up.

No. He was speaking specifically about the comments he was getting right there. ANd Kanye was straight up called gay bro. As far as not being called the antithesis of hip hop--that's my point. It wasn't because he wasn't gangster or hard that made him not "black enough" or the stereotypical way he put it. It's because he's a complete departure from anything in hip hop history. Never before has a rapper with no connection to the bottom worn the crowd. He marks the end of the streets and working class black people determining the biggest thing in hip hop.

yea, this is his best album. hes improved in every area. his rapping and songwriting is better, kinda took me by surprise how melodic he is on some of these tracks. even the "girl songs" r good. both them nicki featured sh!ts last time were blatant and just bad honestly. for all the love his last album got i only thought it was decent.
