The average rap fan does not respect Drake as a rapper anymore. I myself was Drake fan before Meek exposed him. I use to think Drake was one of the greatest rappers of all time. I would of never thought he was using ghostwriters. After Meek exposed him hearing Drake rap is almost cringe worthy now. His rap songs just arent the same anymore cause I know he's fraud.
I have accepted this, and as former true fan of Drake I know that he was intentionally deceiving his fans into thinking his flows were authentic. I also cannot take someone who gets pissed by another man and does nothing seriously.
Most people have this same sentiment, but they choose to hate Meek Mill and be delusional about the beef as coping mechanism. They will say things like look at Drake sales(even though 85% of his current fanbase is women), drakes not rapper so him exposed doesn't matter, or look at all the funny meme's people made (like memes mean anything), or they will talk about back 2 back (even though the person rapping was just exposed for using ghostwriter to rap and the diss track gives prop to meek mill for being a pimp), just all delusions of the grandeur.
Meek hurt Drake and his true fans. The only thing keeping Drake afloat at this point is his current delusional male fans ( who are more in love with Drake the person, than his actual music) and femals (who are also more in love with Drake the person than his actual music). When you have fans like this you will always have good sales.
This beef was about RAP though, RAP. Drake took one of the biggest L's ever in a RAP beef. That is being exposed for having Ghostwriters after trying to act like you don't use them. That is the trump card of a RAP beef. You cannot win a RAP beef after that kind of exposure PERIOD. Especially when you add in being pissed on also
