No, it started out friendly.
1. Meek said he could battle Mook and Cassidy 100k and win.
2. Cassidy accepted the challenge, said meek was a good rapper, but he would get murked in a battle.
3. Then everyone started buzzing, Meek said well nah I mean Cassidy and Mook should battle.
4. People and blogs call Meeks backpedaling, Meek starts saying he's making money, fukking bytches, he's not battling people who are not poppin, they have to pay him for that bla bla.
5. Skreets started buzzing, Cassidy goes on a interview campaign about a mixatpe, the battle (mainly the battle).
6. Mad people start calling Meek scared, p*ssy etc.
7.Meek feels the pressure from the streets and drops a diss track.
8. Cassidy responds.

No It was before that when Cassidy retweeted something someone said about Meek not doing songs with the nikkas who looked out when he was a dirty nikka. Then Meek went in on him for a few tweets.
Yeah that twitter "beef" died down.. like 6 months before the battle comments.
And the tweet said something in the fashion of "Why has Meek and Cassidy not worked together since Meek signed to MMG, my two favorite rappers". And Cassidy retweeted it. Meek went in, deleted his tweets when he realized it was over nothing. And it was dead for months.
Until he said he wanted to battle Mook and Cassidy.
