Cass has more success :usure:

We got 30 year old stans in the other thread stating Meek is bigger than Cass

Cass got more legit hits, had a just as hot mixtape scene and had a nice buzz back in the day :whoo:

And let's not forget, bar for bar, Cass is better :manny:

but, Meek's debut > Cass'

no hate, because Meek will probably be around longer, but stop rewriting history brehs :usure:

:whoa:

Pop That Cannon>any track off Meek's debut

Cass has three different albums that spawned hit tracks spanning four years. Meek's highest charting song wasn't even seeing My Drink & My 2 Step. Do you really see Meek putting out hits in 2016?

I believe Meek will have more longevity because of the MMG wave and the way all hip hop artists stick together now ymcmb and mmg etc...

and i think overall Meek's debut was better...more real songs IMO

Cass still better IMO. I use to be a big fan...Meek never held my attention like that. he kinda ass tbh :manny:

"Innocent Man (Misunderstood)" is a great Cass song

Traumatized is the best song Meek ever did

But Cass "Bellybutton" is the worst song ever :scusthov:

if meek was droppin albums 10 years ago, he wouldnt be nearly as big as cassidy BUT due to circumstances, dude has already surpassed cassidy in star status. i'll even venture to say that hes bigger than every philly rapper from the late '90s-mid '00s golden eras with the exception of Eve.

it means nothing tho because meek is benefiting from this weak era. hes like the only new hip-hop star to really blow in years thats not an industry plant or the beneficiary of some other shakey chit. so naturally people are gravitating to him......and he also benefits from the fact that he isnt stuck with a bad deal, blackballed, caught up in industry politics, or signed to another rapper that only cares about himself.....good thing he didnt get locked into that grand hustle contract.

Different eras, Cas came up in a era were a co-sign could make you hot.
He don't have a real steady fanbase, he had girls who liked Hotel and some other cats fukking with him cause he could freestyle but not really a huge fanbase.

It's like saying Memphis Bleek and Rick Ross are on the same level cause Bleeka 4 first albums sold more than Ross first 4 albums.

Meek has a fanbase, that's the differce he has more than a 2 hit radio joints.

Mc wise I will say that Cas>>>> meek

meh, meek didnt need twitter, the internet, or none of that. your average person that doesnt pay attention to that stuff is a meek fan.

he didnt need ross behind him either. he just has the IT factor at a time when all the other "new" rappers getting deals are questionable & forcefed. hes winning by default. cassidy didnt have it made like this.

im just waiting to see what happens when these other labels start playing follow-the-leader as usual and we see quilly, haddy, etc getting good deals.

i dont recall any of cass' hits being punchline heavy.

and his albums were better than just about anything droppin in the mainstream now. and he never made a bad album....at least not on full surface.

and he doesnt overdose on punches like alot of yall make it seem. he didnt even get his name poppin off of punchline raps to begin with.

breh thats his entire style really, he follow fab kinda and bunch of rappers copied him after, nothin but wack punchline metaphor nikkaz, his appeal as a artist in hip hop died when metaphor punchline raps died

well i dont listen to much mainstream albums, but the once i bump i would say his album are not even close to being better, and his first album was straight trash, the entire second half is garbo, and the other 2 albums are average and not really nothing to go back and listen to

again i ask, how is his appeal based on punchlines when really none of his big hits were punchy? and his career didnt die.

full surface ended and the industry just phased him out from there. his last single on a major label was "drink and my 2-step":comeon:

cass and fab came up at the same time. he didnt follow fab.

i cant front, i dont remember the 1st album for chit. but you must not remember the others that well. at least not the 3rd one. that chit wasnt all that punchy. and cass dam sure wasnt doing punchline raps at all when he first got known.

These two dudes are gonna have the same career. A couple albums, light buzz for a few years then bedtime. There are only a handful of rappers that last indefinitely in this game. Cass was not one and meek sure has hell isn't one. So this is all pretty irrelevant anyways.
