White publications can like it if they want, the point is Meek didn't cater to them like Kendrick did. Listen to the album, it sounds like hip hop, it's aimed at the culture and not at luring outsiders to the culture. Black Hippy, Schoolboy Q, who do you think all that's aimed at? Hipster cacs who try to find the latest "hot" rappers on blogs.

It's not just about lyrics, Kendrick is a good lyricist but when he makes music like that it shouldn't be supported over reality based music like Meek dropped. AT least, if you care about hip hop.

i think by the reviews- this is an album u either love or hate- a real thin line on this one

im confused at the hate too- one flaw of the album is he could have gotten better beats and i understand that cause thats true

People who don't like Meek aren't going to like this album. Not to state the obvious, but what I mean is he didn't do anything crazy on this album that will make those people start to like him.
