I don't know man. Those ross collabos on trap beats are my guilty pleasure.

Whenever we're chillin with my homies and 911/hold me back/john/believe it comes on we're all like :why::yeshrug::lawd:

Ross on trap beats aren't that bad, he just keeps rehashing the same concepts every time:sitdown:

Actin' Up and Hold Me Back got the same chorus

MC Hammer, BMF, Black Magic, Believe It, all use some obscure celebrity to reference drugs or money or some shyt

shyt, MC Hammer, BMF, AND John all got the same sounding beat
Same goes for 911 and Hold Me Back

And its the same story every time

I would enjoy it in paltry amounts, nothing over excess at all

I haven't listened to the whole album yet, listened to the majority of it and :shaq2: idk...just not really feeling it. I liked the intro. When I done bumping Sean P, I'll give it another listen.

:beli: I had high hopes but I tried to listen to it 2-3 times since last week and it still bores me, all sounds the same and is just a lackluster album IMO....

I feel the same way, when I'm in the mood for that trap shyt throw on 911 and I'm good. People keep saying he use the same topics on trap beats, what the hell is he suppose to rap about on a trap beat.....trap shyt

Think about what u saying though. You call it "excess" but Ross NEVER includes more than TWO of those trap style beats on any album

TD= mc hammer/bmf
GFID=911/Hold Me Back

Self Made 1 was trap heavy but Self Made 2 wasnt. Its just his sound and i think he spreads it out pretty evenly imo

whats effed up is that this is the same dude who had shut down datpiff with dreamchasers to and had like 2 million downloads in a couple days or some shyt. if he cant sell 200K this is a colossal fall off

shyt he should be selling at least 350K but he probably wont

I meant I wouldn't listen to it in excess, not that Ross makes it in excess:shaq2:

My only point was is YOU DONT HAVE TO listen to it in excess. Those trap songs are pretty easy to avoid because Ross makes so many other types of tracks. Some of yall like to pretend like most Ross songs are trap when it reality those only acct for about maybe 20% of his catalogue

:dwillhuh: I'm saying I wouldn't repeat those songs 20 times over and listen in excess personally not that Ross' catalogue is bloated with those songs

Meek Mill album was solid. I could listen to it all the way through for the most part. I thought he had some good perspectives on the street life that id never heard before. In some ways i feel that he carried some of the production on this album. Some. He has a promising future but i dont know what else hes going to rap about. Probably the same thing.

Meek was my fav artist at a point earlier in the year but then he fell off with the constant repetitive guest features.

The album did better than I expected. Maybe 3-4 off tracks, was disappointed by Tony Story 2. One was classic, goosebumps whenever he said "even took the shovel tried to bury him faster"

Also we heard Amen months ago on Dreamchasers 2, hate when an artist does that. Didn't fit here. Something like Work or Middle of the Summer woulda been better. Lay Up and Young Kings he coulda done without. I personally wouldn't have done more than 4 featured tracks but good he made the album 14, good number, glad not 17-18.

And that Mary J track is crazy, great beat, hook, Everything good overall. Who produced it?

Honestly I like it more than the Ross album. 3.5/5 maybe 4, have to give a few more listens.
