I really don't see the problem for a variety of reasons
because
A) It has heightened and brought to the forefront the reality of Police Brutality and to a lesser extent the overall conversation of "abolishing the prison industrial complex" and the police all together, and even bringing concepts like anti-blackness to the forefront as well as the shortcomings of white liberalism
B) Gay black folk have always been at the forefront of damn near a majority of civil rights movements and critical thought, James Baldwin and Angela Davis come to mind.
C) Every BLM "chapter" operates differently from city to city in my experience and the main focus seems to be police brutality, and the subject and victims of them being mainly black men
