But then it sounds like your anger should be directed towards your political class who are responsible for doling out the money. Why do you get mad at those people who are fortunate enough to receive it? It isn't their fault that there hasn't been reparations
Why do y’all keep trying to change the narrative of black Americans pointing out the benign neglect policy of not paying the debt owed to black people, but handing out resources to literally every other group into some type of hatred or anger against the Afghan refugees?

Nothing but bad faith trivializations

always revert to calling a BA angry when in doubt

So then how do these people have significant influence compared to black people then

by being refugees

and just cause you have economics backing you, you don't always win

otherwise Michael Bloomberg would've been president

and if you're mad about people getting assistance, that's something on a state level, you and yours could have a beneficial effect on seeing people get what they need.

Also, if you got kids, then I'm sure you've heard of this

Child tax credit 2021: Monday's unenroll deadline, payment dates, IRS portal updates

nah you holla at me when one of our Black governors or senators pushes a piece of financial legislation that benefits the people of his state. we wouldn't be having this discussion if that was the case. they've been in this country one day, and have already gotten more real assistance than Black people have in the centuries we've been here.

let's see if they mandate the afghan males being prohibited from the household as a condition to any of that financial help.

i'm not mad about anything. i don't have to get mad to see reality.

and the only thing we do know is that without economics you have nothing, and we are the prime example of that.

:manny:that's not really true to a degree. an economic foundation does matter and has proven, clear as day benefits, but isn't the end all be all.

Man people have been getting section 8/HUD controlled housing for years. They’re getting access to mostly pre-existing federal programs. If you crying over people getting glorified TANF and HUD benefits you never had a chance in America anyway.
You keep trying to change the narrative into a black American vs Afghan refugee when it’s black Americans vs racist government. We don’t care what benefits they get. We care about who’s paying for those benefits while being told reparations is not feasible.

Speaking of section 8/HUD, will they tell the Afghan refugees that in order to have access to “section-8” they will have to get rid of their Afghan men like they did black people? Will the US government flood their refugee encampments will drugs and weapons? Will they be allowed to purchase homes or will they be “quarantined” into ghettos? Please to not play stupid and act like they will have the same conditions black people face in America.

We’ve successfully fought white supremacy for centuries and continue to do so. If it wasn’t for us, you (I’m assuming that you’re not ADOS/FBA) and all other immigrants “of color” wouldn’t even have your funky asses over here.
:yeshrug:

So…simply stop speaking on us, or cut it out and kiss our collective ring, fakkit.

They didn’t risk their lives. The Americans that protected them risked their lives. The Afghan soldiers risked their lives. These are the people worked for the government propped up by the US. That’s why their president stole millions of dollars and took a private jet out leaving everyone else to die.

They would be risking their lives by standing up for themselves without the United States to protect them. The same way black people stood up for themselves here in America despite the brutality and acts of violence.

Listen to the stories Americans are telling. Translators and other civilian escorts were considered by the Taliban to be traitors because they were effectively telling on them to US soldiers. That's why the Taliban is scouring the country looking for them and executing them.

They’re getting housing for 30-90 days and taught how to use public transportation. Doesn’t sound like we’re exactly rolling out the red carpet, but okay…
Where is the same opportunity for black refugees? Why don’t we extend these same opportunities to the Haitians?

Free flights to America on military planes, transportation to Dulles airport base, temporary housing on a military base, 30-90 day free housing and food once they get settled for tens of thousands of refugees. Sounds great for them but also sounds like a lot of money for a country that refuses to pay its debt to black people.
