Honestly women in the rap game

fukk if women in general in music don't need a label

It's so many birds ready to listen to music that makes their horrible behavior excusable that they'll support any bit h that advocates mindless fukking and twerking

I really hate that I agreed with this but you spitting some truth

Maybe I'm just a bytch ass nikka but I keep running into these types of hoes and I just be disgusted. Hell, the ones that don't even be ratchet be on that type of time, I just throw them in the bushes after awhile :hubie:

Baseball contracts be that bag for real if they're good enough to actually get it and it's all guaranteed.

But I had no idea he had record label last of I heard of Carl Crawford he was supposedly marrying to basketball wife thot but didn't go through with it.

I'm starting to see the Jay-Z/snake angle.

I'm hearing he tried to do the same thing with 21 Savage and his little label after the deportation thing.

Then, a lot of his help was trying get Wayne outta CM.

Why the fukk would you sign to Carl Crawford in the first place?

Dude don't know shyt about the music business.
Almost every rapper signs to a lower level startup imprint. Cash money at once was that. Gucci 1017 at once was that.

Drake was signed to Jay Princes fukking son and yeah I know J’s pedigree but what successful artist had rap a lot put out in the decade prior to drake. And not only that what rappers they blew up not from Texas let alone the United States. If drake didn’t work out you all would be saying “why dida Canadian sign to a Houston label with no major hits in over a decade”

Kodak black when he started was signed to Dollaz n Dealz

QC was a startup imprint at one point too
she has 2 plat songs and 1 good song

you could’ve google instead of inventing ways to hate

artist don’t have any leverage

y’all swear y’all are so enlightened. When you’re starving and needs someone to fund your dream you sill sign anything and worry about it latter
i repeat this shyt to these nikkas every time shyt like this brought. Then someone inevitably comes in and says “they have google” or some shyt. Like a 16-19 year old high school dropout who’s is going to be googling album deals or some shyt. That’s not reality. As a matter of fact I have producer friend right now who’s got a bachelors and going for his masters who might be signing a pretty ehh producing contract. He’s got lawyers somewhat negotiating but he still knows he’ll probably sign a not so favorable deal.

Did she really need a major label? This is a rinse repeat situation every time. Stay indie, sometimes the “look” isn’t always worthy if these record labels gonna keep your career from going forward.

She wouldn’t be here without the label

For the life me, I'll never understand people thinking artist get to status "selling out of the trunk."

I remember this video from 2018.

She was not making money moves to kill the game in one year.

Chance is the funniest case.

This independence shyt is a myth.

she only been popping a year and she's already went through the publicity relationship and label woes check points.
ticking them boxes off early.

she's going to end up owing Roc Nation, Lyor, Carl and J Prince (the man gets his cut)
shell be on on Love & Hip-Hop shaking her bloated alcoholic belly and wearied cheeks for Rich Dollaz competing with Erica Mena or Cyn Santana for a song.

Ultimately as long as there’s no solution to poverty and/or the “struggle” there’s always going to be millions of of exploitable young ppl in the music industry. shyt unless y’all want it to be the other way around with all the rappers being the kids of rich and famous ppl with money. That’s damn near what the pop music industry has become don’t believe those “grassroots” or comeup stories of Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, etc.

Y’all pointing the finger and ridiculing the wrong ppl. Stop shytting on the artists for signing the deals and start shytting on the labels for making them. This sort of exploitation is only going to end one of two or both: putting public social pressure on the labels for doing it (ala the meetoo movement, social environment wave of companies, etc). Or they have to apply political pressure.

:manny:Artists don’t need major labels, they make money on merch and shows. A major label does get them a bigger audience though, along with other endorsements. All of that can also happen with indie labels.

There's no such thing as a "indy" label IMO

Just labels that ain't as big as the Big 3
