But what's funny is bothsiders only ever call out one side.

If the Dems fukk up, they're going IN on Democrats..but if the GOP fukks up....they're going IN on Democrats.

They can never criticize the GOP with any depth and detail. It's a surface level comment followed by 20 minutes of pontification on Dems.

Its the sportsification of journalism. Everyone on CNN, FOX etc. Have also taken on this attitude of politics as a team sport instead of a means of solving problems identified by the electorate. You have elected officials talking like sports commentators saying some dumb shyt like "I call balls and strikes" while talking about foreign policy and the social programs people ACTUALLY depend on to survive. Any rich dummy now feels qualified to speak on the shyt with how low the standards are for journalism and politicians.

We really need an independent agency that acts as a watchdog for journalism and advertising. We also need strong federal standards on literacy and civic education including teaching alternative political theories from primary sources.

Sam seder touched on that on his show when He told the story of when charlie kirk told him after a heated debate that "we should grab a drink sometime" backstage to which seder responded with bemusement "why would I want to grab a drink with you"

Eric Swalwell also said Ted cruz told him in the congress halls during a hearing recess that "you are doing a good job out there (referring to debate) keep it up"

swalwell hit him with:gucci:

This shyt is a game to some of these folks

The same people who want democrat to end the shutdown that republicans created will be the same ones to

criticise the dems for being weak and caving to the republicans if they do

I know right?!

Charlemagne was on the daily show about 10 days ago criticizing the Dems for not fighting back hard enough. Something shallow about not matching the energy of the no kings protest.

Damn if you do, damn if you don't. Dems can't win.

I'm so tired of people like CTG hearing someone make the exact opposite argument and responding with "I agree but..." No, you don't agree. And repeating that you agree while simultaneously re-iterating your opposing argument is not intelligent. It makes you look stupid and it assumes your audience is stupid. And it perpetuates my point about podcasts and celebrities getting into political discourse: it's just yapping. Banter. Something you throw on in the background while not actively listening, because if you actively listened you'd say "wow this guy doesn't know what he's talking about" and start listening to something else. CTG, SAS, Budden...these guys are objectively stupid when it comes to these convos. They don't research, beyond consuming headlines. They don't understand policy. All they care about is optics and the rat race. Who is up, who is down. Who is strong, who is weak.
I deal with this sht at work but thats how ppl in corporate environment talk. They say its supposed to disarm the person making the point and making them feel heard but i hate this shyt lol
