At least it was the ALCS. Meaning they at least won the ALDS. They at least won a series. They at least won some postseason baseball.
These dudes didn't win ONE playoff game with THREE 40pt goal scorers and record-tying 62 wins...
That's like having a rotation of 3-4 20 Win pitchers, winning like 115 games, and getting swept in the Divisional series.
It is worse than the 04 ALCS. Obviously not in terms of drama, stage, and notoriety among fans, but it's worse.
You're comparing the lore and history and drama of winnner-goes-to-WS and Yankees/Red Sox overshadow the sports feat. This is as bad as it gets.
This Avs/Flames series has been ridiculously entertaining. I feel bad for Mike Smith. Dude has single handedly kept Calgary in each of the past three games but there's only so much he can do by himself. Faced 108 shots in the last two games.

Yo, I’m glad Avs didn’t win the lottery, adding Hughes/Kakko to this lineup would be terrifying. If they make smart moves in FA, they will be a threat in a few years.
