I can see them passing laws to force us to take it. When you get vaccinated you're given a piece of paper/card to prove your vaccination. When cops stop you outside your house you have to present that piece of paper or go to jail/hospital.

Sounds ridiculous but anythings possible.

Since the state department stopped issuing new passports you can't flee the country either (like how people avoid the draft back in the day). They've effectively turned this country into a giant prison.
