The argument is they both play the same position. You can argue either should play the 4 but the problem is that Horford is adamant that he's not a center.

Crowder is just a better fit for our team tho, he moves the ball, plays great defense and shoots 43% from 3.

Melo can't rebound enough as a 4 it would work if they had a dominant 5 who rebounds well and block shots.
