i said this when melo chose NY over CHI and i'll say it again:

there was a very slim chance that he was getting a ring with the bulls anyway so he might as well get as much money as he can with the knicks :manny:

either way, he's not winning a ring as the number one option. that ship sailed

If Carmelo went to the Bulls and they won the 2015 championship he would have elevated his legacy.

Melo wasting his last prime years sitting out the playoffs though, Bulls would have been a ECF lock, probably Finals with Melo last season. Even if they don't win, he could have cemented his legacy further with some classic playoff performances.

I guess there's a price tag on all that with him though

Melo goes to Bulls, they beat depleted Cleveland last year, they lose in the Finals, and Thibs doesn't get fired. So NAH

Now Melo & the Bulls are both irrelevant :francis:



:rudy: Outside of Chicago winning the NBA Championship, the Bulls organization was getting rid of Thibodeau anyway.
