Ahem

So we going to act like JR smith didn't have his best statistical year and win 6th man of the year while a knick. We going to act like shumpert wasn't a rookie for one of his years in new york and both suffered injuries that needed surgeries towards the end of their tenure. We going to act like the knicks didn't make it to the second round and had a legit chance of making conference finals. We going to forger that the last 2 years involved bringing in rookie coaches and traded teams assets for sh1t. We under phil administration that has no clear direction and our last three coaches were D'antoni, Woodson, Fisher all of which nobody considers great. We also going to act like the fact that the Cavs having lebron, kyrie , and love three big time players doesn't make JR and Iman role a lot easier compared to the big three of Melo, the Ghost of Amare Stoudemire, and the Corpse of Andrea Bargani. Being a superstar I understand Melo being the scapegoat but this falls more on management

The Knicks biggest problem will forever be the owner.

Give Carmelo an above average, high IQ PG & he'll win you games. Not a coincidence his two best seasons were with damn near the corpse of Jason Kidd & and an aging Chauncey Billups.

That said his painfully rigid offensive skillset means he simply isn't a superstar player in the truest sense of the word. Forget LeBron, even that lanky motherfukker KD evolved as a facilitator & playmaker over the years while Carmelo has been the same player all these years some could argue he's even declined. I mean even if you're not a facilitator at least develop your game off-the ball, his current style of play simply leads to stagnation on the offensive end.

There's no reason he can't try to set people up, he's never used his offensive gifts as a means of setting people up. Even KD has developed into more of a playmaker in a short period of time than him.

He's supposedly a "superstar" wing yet he has never averaged 4apg, with as much as he has the ball that is pure :scust: status.
there is a reason, Melo is a scorer.

A lot of superstar scoring wings were not passers. Julius Erving never averaged more than 5 assists a game in the NBA. There are many reasons to shyt on Melo, but him not being as great as Lebron is a nonsensical one.
