Hes regressing because hes got shytty footwork and no post moves.

He had shytty footwork and no post moves his 1st year also.

If he has those deficiencies shouldn't the Clippers be running to get Blake in the open court?

Instead CP3 wants to play a halfcourt game and dribble the ball until his pass can lead to an assist.

He's played with scoring PG's his whole career, now that he's got an actual PG, he needs to learn how to play with one. Don't matter who you got at point when you got nikkas like Melo and JR Smith who LOVE to control the ball and a coach who lets em do it.

You don't have to change the PG, you gotta change that offense.

That open court shyt only gonna get you so far. Its up to Blake to improve his game, not his PG.

who you play with matters though.

If your two best players games don't mesh then

Add to the fact that they don't get along with each other

Melo is who he is at this point. An elite point guard would probably make him a lil better as far as getting him easier shots. But Melo handles the ball so much, that having a CP3 or a Rondo wouldn't matter if he doesn't let them run the offense.

Agreed. What Melo needs is a guard that can shoot from outside so he can kick it out to them when doubled. Melo otherwise kills ball movement.

Not completely true.

I mean we all agree that Blake needs to improve his game, but in the meanwhile - CP has to adjust his game and at the very least walk to the bridge and meet him halfway, while he goes through the natural progression of improving. More uptempo ball, more PNRs, more touches early in the shot clock etc etc.

I meant his individual game. The rest of what youre saying is true. CP3 doesnt need to hold the ball for more than half of the shot clock and decide to do some silly shyt. Alot of that however does fall on the coaching too.
