I think he just wants Phil to show some appreciation , people don't understand the Knicks want Melo to take a pay cut on blind faith . Phil has zero front office experience and couldn't even sign his first coaching choice . NYC has a perception issue to outsiders and playing hard ball with Melo who's our only star is smart ? You think kd and rondo want to come here for fun ?

His game has been improving the last 2 years . As long as he can shoot and rebound he'll be fine.

agreed. phil has been very nonchalant bout melo, but still he has said he was going to opt out since september before phil was even thought about. the rules dont allow him to re-sign for five years unless he opts out, its the same thing paul did last summer, just happened to coincide with the knicks being ass after a very good season.
