I'm not saying all of that. Lebron and Carmelo are both setting themselves up nicely for the future.
Carmelo seems poised to become a cultural figure off the court as well. He's that well rounded dude who seems to understand a world beyond basketball. That's all I'm saying.
Lebron is setting himself up nicely as well though. Both seem like sound cats navigating their way through this new paradigm of professional sports.

LEbron got ni99a money. Young money. Melo is making investments. He built Syracuse's training facility with his own money. That's chess. He's looking ahead. That move puts him in good graces with that college FOREVER. If he blew all his money, and was dead broke. Syracuse would give him a gig.
He got at Tv show and Documentary already put out on cable and premium TV. He mingles with the right people too.
Lebron James has hella money now. But he has no college experience. He acts like a c00n.

Right, money isn't even relevant to this thread. Once a certain level of wealth is reached, it is almost a complete wash to discuss the net worth of individuals. The difference between the richest man and the 50th richest man is quantitatively measurable, but almost arbitrary.
Now, what someone chooses to do with that money, and with their influence, is something worth speaking on.
Lebron seems like more of a getwit dude to me, a little too concerned with his image and how others feel about him. Melo always seemed like a stronger personality to me, a bit more low-key, a cosmopolitan type of dude.
Then again, he from Red Hook, so that's to be expected.

Yeah melo aint stupid he been making moves ever since he switched his image up a few years ago and will forever be that guy at syracuse, definitely wasn't a diss to him. That whole move to ny was to make him more well known.
But still bron and his people around him definitely aint stupid. The only mistake his camp made was the decision and even with that, everyone tuned in. shyt they even made money off that.
