Duncan got five in Kobe’s era too so does he deserve to be in the discuss as well?
Beat me to it :mjlol:

People call it the Kobe era where he was rotating between HOF to carry him to rings meanwhile Dungawd was out here getting it done with dudes who didn't speak english and Devin Brown :mjlol:

They call it the Kobe era because he was actually defending his titles and was whooping the Spurs consistently.

Rotating between HOF? The fukk that mean? Pau wasn’t an HOF before he got to the Lakers

Same ol tired bullshyt from nikkas who wasn’t soaking it in in real time.

yall can go ahead and keep crying about stans though when it’s CARMELO ANTHONY in the OP.

I wouldn't say there's an argument but I would argue that Steph had an opportunity but botched it. 2016 was the litmus test he never recovered from until 2022, at which point it was more about entering the top 10/surpassing KD.

Had he played better and won the 2016 title and Finals MVP, which would mean beating LeBron and KD in back-to-back series + winning unanimous MVP + beating the 72-10 Bulls' record... that would be the greatest individual season of all time. And would set him up for a chance to threepeat in 2017.

But once he botched it and recruited KD... the narrative switched from possibly being you're better than LeBron (if you'd won) to you needed KD to beat LeBron (and KD needed a stacked team to win anything)... LeBron won the war at that point.

LeBron won the war? LeBron wasn't in the league when Steph won his last title?

It’s just delusional shyt. No one even talks about KD going to the dubs anymore because Steph ended up winning with Wiggins, a guy some Bron Stan’s have wanted to trade AR for

They always think their bullshyt propaganda will go undetected.

Guys… I’m like the least give a fukk about LeBron on here who doesn’t engage in the riffraff… but I’m also not the one being delusional.

LeBron is seen as closer to being the GOAT than Steph, by most. If we have to pretend like that’s not the case, then I dunno what to tell yall. Get all this LeBron stan/anti stan dikk riding shyt outta here

What I am saying is Steph botching 2016 was a big boost to James and a big derailment to where Steph could’ve been. KD joining Steph became a double-edged sword to KD in media and barber talks about his placement. We know this, we witnessed this.

This ain’t about LeBron vs Mike vs Kobe vs Kareem

And that’s fine, Melo just made an argument after all (kind of).

Doesn’t change what I said that right now and unlikely to change the vast majority in bball discourse will have James in that top 3 category more often than Steph.

I just feel Steph had his golden opportunity, so it’s not like he never had a chance

I don't know if the Olympics is the best example

Sure Steph killed in the last 2 games, but he STRUGGLED early in the tournament.

Bron had the best numbers on the team by far throughout the tournament

So you're saying you wouldn't even hear out someone's argument if they said Steph is higher than Bron? I just don't think it's an insane argument to throw out. For example, someone could argue their peak as players is on the table just based on how those two games played out. France left both KD and Bron wide open and Steph shot a double team contested three. No one thought it was stupid to leave a top 5 all time player and top 20 all time player open because Steph was that dangerous as a player. It's not as concrete as Bron's stats, but that level of effect on a game counts as pretty solid evidence to me. It's similar to someone arguing Moss is better than Jerry. I don't think so, but it's not insane to say.
