Believe it or not there are things that happen to cause superstars to join forces. For example, if KD goes 3 more years without a ring and racks up another MVP he may look else where if OKC doesn't put enough pieces around him to compete for a ship.

The days of legends/superstars accepting not getting at least one ring is over. Look at the Nike Ad with D.Lillard from Portland making fun of some pretty great players who all went ringless because of Mj/Scottie.

Houston is a good example of that right now. Also, Kobe demanded to be traded if the Lakers didn't make some moves in free agency.

No one can do it by themselves, I don't care what they say around here.

As much as the 90s legends who didn't get rings hate on Lebron they would come back in join forces to beat MJ/Scottie and friends if they could.

Its exactly why Ray & KG went to Boston and the 2004 Super-Lakersquad was put together.

The salary cap is projected to skyrocket (increase by $6M I believe) each consecutive year going forward due to increased revenue. I'm sure Mickey Arison wouldn't mind paying a bit of luxury tax the first year to ensure a HUGE tv deal / 2-3 more championships in Miami. All four stars will be making sacrifices (paycuts) so Mickey might bend. WHEW.

The 2010-2019 is the decade of King James. :blessed:

Something tells me that if Durant and other superstars/all-stars were to take less to form a team to challenge the HEAT, some of the cockblocking, bytchmade owners (Dan Gilbert, Mark Cuban) would try to find ways to stop it. :stopitslime:

I'm not mad they team up, i'm really mad they not teaming up in chi town real talk. As a free agent i'm all for shaping your career but damn chicago is right there.
This is the problem that most people have but they wont admit it. If lebron would have brought his friends to chicago or new york then half of these hate threads would not exist........Lack of competitiveness in the NBA would not even cross their minds. In 2010, Chicago could have possibly had lebron bosh rose noah and deng on one squad...........but i guess having all of those stars on one team would have been fair :usure:

Deng would have been traded. It would have been Rose Wade Deng Bosh Noah. Before Wade finally convinced Lebron to go through with the big 3 deal.

I think there is a lot of truth in saying that a lot of hate came because of the destination. Knicks and Bulls fans were begging for LeBron and Wade (they try to act like they didnt).

People got to understand, no matter what you think of Miami, the fans, or bandwagon fans...Arison is one of the best owners in the league and Pat Riley knows how to build and manage. Players around the league see how Pat treats Zo, Tim, Juwan, and even Beas. I have no doubt in my mind that James Jones will work for the Heat. Wade was never leaving and may never leave. All Wade had to do was let Pat do the math and then convince the other two.

That has a really good chance of happening again with Melo. Personally, I'd rather have a few players out there before Melo but I won't complain if it happens.

Complain?

When Melo is knocking down jumper after jumper when Bron is on the bench. Or Wade gets the kind of rest that has him just a tad bit more explosive

Complain :sas1:

We also have to rebuild the team though.

Battier is done. Shard, Ray and JJ might be on the way out. UD comes through every once in a while but we need consistency. Chalmers most likely is gone soon.

4 players taking less still gives us little cap room to rebuilt. It might look like 2011 all over again.

HoopsHype - NBA Free Agency 2014

There is a lot of people on this list that would take less to play here, but signing Melo probably rules out 2 or more combinations.

If you recall many of us wanted Wade for obvious reasons never thought Lebron was coming at the most we wanted Bosh.
