Legitimate battles with the Orlando Magic? Iverson's sixers? Heat had their backs to the wall the last two eastern conference playoffs and still ended up defeating teams from the 'superior' conference, y'all running out of excuses.

Forgot about that war with Orlando in 09 :sas1:

The Lakers didn't just roll over teams, we had legitimate battles with legit teams that could beat us, so my team not being a beneficiary is a moot point

Why would I think about it from a player's perspective when I'm a fan of the game. I want to see competition, the best against the best, not team USA beating up Tunisia for 82 games out of the season. Those rings won't mean much, as if it will happen either way

You dudes are ridiculous :skip:

Bullshyt, the lakers steamrolled teams and was CLEARLY the class of the west except in 00 when the refs robbed the blazers and 02 when the refs robbed the kings.

The lakers were favorites in every series with the exception of the 02 kings series maybe

Out here in my damn drawls
Legit battles with the 7sixers and Nets :sas1:

Don't get me started on those 80s teams :sas2:

Getting through the Western conference was pretty much the finals back then simply because the is was trash, stop it :childplease:

Talk about the 80's teams all you want, but they 1-2 superstars and the rest were legitmate role players.

You are talking about putting 4 superstars on one team in today's NBA. Those rings would be a joke. No matter how much people try to prop up OKC, Houston and the Clippers as threats (3 Western Conference teams :laff:), they couldn't compete unless Durant went to the Clippers, which would be another anti-competition blow for the league.

You obviously don't remember the roster on those Lakers teams. Rick Fox and Derek Fisher were their 3rd and 4th best players in '01 and '02. You can't even compare the two squads. :mjlol:

If the Lakers were as much as a threat as you make them out to be, why would they need the help of the refs :sas1:

We were either too good to be stopped:hula:We were so bad that we needed the refs;

Pick one an argument and stick with it

Point is: Melo, Wade, Lebron with or without Bosh would be terrible for competition, diminish their "legacies" and you know that

Who's fault was it that Boston and Miami let Orlando get to the 'ship? Like I said in the above post, the weakness of the Eastern conference with the 2000's Lakers pretty much made the Western conference finals the actual finals

Look at the premise of the thread: Melo to the Heat

That would be a joke of signing and Melo it's not competitive at all. I'd hate to see y'all crumby ass, staked 2k rosters :scusthov:
