It's not about doing right. I personally don't give a damn about what Melo or other players do. It's their choice and I know Melo has the best intentions and deeply cares about the state of America right now. He says he doesn't know what the solution is...well there it is. Opt out of the Olympics and let's be honest, the only reason Melo is playing in the Olympics is for his legacy(he admitted it). He doesn't give a fukk about America. Take that step and stop thinking about yourself(which Melo challenges other players to do) and don't participate. Melo is being a hypocrite but like I said, I really don't care...but many people are painting him out to be something that he's not.

I would feel some type of way that some rednecks who are on social media openly advocating for more brutality towards African Americans will be the same ones with a USA jersey on their back when Melo and them win gold.

kind of a sidebar, i think it was lebatard who said the bball team should boycott the olympics - thoughts? i kinda think that would be dope, bball is marquee sport for the olympics and a huge US win/sense of pride every four years, imagine us fielding no team or a team of bench players/college kids, the world (and US) would definitely take notice. no it doesn't solve police killings per se, but it's a huge way to grab attention.
