I wouldn't mind it. Gets rid of Blake's contract, and Melo can be the 1st option in Detroit and chuck as much as he wants. He has a no trade clause but OKC wants him to come off the bench, maybe he would waive it

yea, you gonna make up the remaining $140MM on Blake's contract after this season by "adding some pieces".
go do your homework.![]()
You don't match entire contracts, u dip shyt.

I mean OKC has to do something. Theyll be paying Russ and Adams like 65 mil combined and arent realdly a FA destination. Real talk Id love for the Wolves to swap out Wiggins for Melos expiring
IVE RECENTLY COME TO THE REALIZATION
THAT YOU COLI BREAUGHS
HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS NBA SALARY shyt WORKS.
WORD TO @THE MACHINE
Melo has no choice. He doesnt have a no trade anymore. And the Wolves wont be trying to re-sign him anywayProb is Melo aint' going to Minny, but that would be a great move for Minny to get out of that terrible contract.

he still has his no trade clause breh. Melo has the option to allow the trade, but he has to agree to any potential trade under the terms of his contract. It's still there.
But if he agrees to it, and takes the Minny trade for Weed Plate, it frees up cap space to keep Jimmy AND Katt without being over the luxury tax threshold. Minny would just buy him out at that point anyway too.
you right you right. Just read up on it. That said I don't think it's a deal breaker. If OKC lets him know they don't want him there and makes it that type of situation he may do it. Minny can either float to him that they'll buy him out which will let him sign on with a contender (which I'm guessing they only really feel incentivized to do if they feel like there's someone out there that THEY can sign after buy outs so they need the cap space OR if Melo only agrees to come if he'll be bought out) OR they can sell him on him being the starting 3 for a team that was the 3 seed before Butler got hurt last year and plays its starters plenty of minutes. I can see Melo being interested in a chance to do that, especially since there's no Westbrook level ball hog there and he'll get some shots
Minny would buy that nikka out so fast after the trade breh it wouldn't be funny.
We talking about Thibs......Melo trying to play defense. shyt is oil and water.
Don't think Melo is agreeing to Detroit
Melo agreeing to whoever will pay him his riches
