This is off topic but Dave really is fukking clueless about puro :laff:

The Muto/Vader/Chono analogy with Sumor Hall throwing pillows after the match is a horrible comparison to these kinds of chants because that shyt it actually a sumo tradition for a big upset (which Muto's and Chono's wins were) and doesn't affect the meaning of the Ws :heh:

"What?" and "This is awesome!" are both worse in my opinion.

"What?", in 2017, is downright embarrassing, even if it isn't smarky.

"You deserve it" is at least appropriate sometimes. Like, for Naomi. And these dudes clearly don't get it when it comes to Naomi.

This is awesome is fine when it's a great match, but they overdo it when it's 2 indy guys who finally "made it" fighting against each other.

Or before a match even starts during a staredown. The WWE noticed the reaction Shield/Wyatts got and have spent 4 years trying to recreate moments like that, and the fans dupe themselves right into it.

"Holy shyt" chants for what amounts to routine spots today suck as well.

Agreed. The problem is overuse. It gets chanted sometimes during matches that are barely above ordinary, that happen to have one or two impressive spots.

It comes down to the fact that there are a lot of idiots in crowds who love to chant, and don't particularly care if their chant really makes any sense.
