All Hip Hop / Ill community was on its last breath and someone mentioned it ... I posted a little on SOHH ... so I lurked for three years before joining in 2015

I knew about The Coli for a few yrs while I was still posting on the IC & Boxden. I knew a few members from the IC had came over like Pico but every time a thread from here would get linked on the IC and I would read it I was like :idontknow1:

Long story short, late last year I got fed up with the shyt over at Boxden and the IC was on life support since 2011. So I decided to register.

Got banned from a few forums for giving cacs that work! So the coli was next on the list. Always Boxden.

I came upon this article of a Haitian chick who described her issues growing up around AAs.


The article was linked from this site and this is how I discovered the coli.

Damn Cacs talking about certain aspects of these cities that didn’t really interest me too much as a Black person but would cry foul if you start talking about “Black neighborhoods” or “Black nightlife” or “Black businesses”, etc. and try to shame you for “self-segregated” views but they never have that same energy towards Latinx, Middle Easterners, and Asians

They always try to out-liberal each other too much and the political/controversies sub-forum would always be infested with conservative Cacs

They be too pro-LGBTQ this, too pro-gentrification that, too pro-IR dating/marriage this, too pro-overdevelopment that

They would ALWAYS make the same damn redundant ass city vs. city threads every single week, month, and year....They were amusing my first 2-3 years on there but they just started devolving more and more into dumbass banter and trivial nonsense. Some of them even used Black cultural aspects of these cities against each other, knowing good and goddamn well that they don’t even fukk with Black folks like that outside of certain circumstances

Again, some of the brehs on there be on some heavy c00n/Sambo shyt too. That InfiniteHeights nikka being a good example @KodeBlue Is that dude still posting on city-data? He would always talk mad greasy about Baltimore and be on the Bmore forum constantly. I know he was crazy pro-DC/DMV, but I really wasn’t feeling dude’s energy. Something was always off about him.

And a lot of them city-data posters are so anti-suburbs, it’s almost as if they had a horrible childhood in the ‘burbs or something lol. And they be so pro-development, a few of them actually stated that some parks should be converted into mixed-used properties and shyt
