I was a big Saigon fan from like 2004-2008/2009, his debut dropped in 2011, but looking back, despite all the real label drama and mistakes, was an artist like Saigon really going to break through in 2007/2008? The game had changed too much. It was Wayne, Kanye, Drake, Future. Only one of those artists ever had any kind of social commentary, and Kanye, by 2008 or so was done with that, mostly.

I feel like Troy Ave fukked up more than even more than Saigon. Saigon was more lyrical but Troy Ave was and is still a great hook/song writer.
Yeah Saigon still has a chance, but Troy's probably done. I liked some of his music too.
