Biggie was largely one dimensional in his rhymes. When he started out with the Timbs and bandana on those hard rhymes, he was great at that.

Life after death saw him branch out a bit on songs like sky is the limit, missing u, etc.

I loved his raw raps but would have liked to see how he would have evolved as an MC.

But we do have RTD and LAD, and from that perspective, he did not have near the body of work Pac had, nor the multi faceted topics and a true message. Pac had all of that.

RTD is an absolute classic, LAD to me is one of the most overrated albums ever. That and the Black Album are the most overrated. LAD has some classic songs, maybe 5-6. The rest was skippable. And I say that as someone who copped it on the release date in 97.

Bleek is on point.

Big dropped like 40 classic songs, even if he had only 2 (long ass) albums he still has more music I'd listen to than Pac. Majority of Pac's discography is sloppy filler.

What's that pac lyric where he is talking about a womb and a stream( something like that):wow:

Still i Rise:jawalrus:

Somebody wake me I'm dreaming, I started as a seed the semen
Swimming upstream, planted in the womb while screaming
on the top, was my pops, my momma screaming stop
From a single drop, this is what they got

Life After Death is the most complete and perfect album of all time to me. The back half of that is straight classic Hip Hop. Big also got some of Premier's best work during that late 90's span. I fukk with Big and Pac, both sit in my top 3. I don't give a shyt.

But, you really can't compare Big to Pac. Not in the sense Bleek is getting at, but in the sense that they were two very different rappers with different goals whose lives happened to share many parallels.

Tupac made some of the most moving and inspirational music I've ever heard. Biggie's strung together some of the dopest, nicest lines that to this day still get quoted.

These journalist cats need to revise their questions. Tupac v. Big needs to be put to rest for fukk's sake.

Big's material >>>> Pac's material.

And it's not even close. :youngsabo:

Their highlights make for one hell of a playlist though.

But I do agree, S4MN & 2PN were largely forgettable. No reason to act like they weren't, as it doesn't subtract from Pac's legacy.

It's the guys who swear up and down every song song Pac ever put out including all the posthumous releases that are shytting on their man without even knowing it.

Seriously. As if we need to maintain some sort of loyalty or allegiance to two men twenty years dead instead of just focusing on the music and the messages they were trying to send.

It's corny.
