You think drug dealers in the 80's and 90's were wearing Jordans to "be like Mike"? :mjlol:

It was a status symbol. They've always been a status symbol. Most people wearing Jordans back then did not play basketball. You think all the people that bought Air Max 1's since '87 were runners?

Now, Gen Z buys Jordans for the same reason they buy Yeezys despite never listening to him. They're highly sought after and in style. That's all they care about. Although Yeezys aren't what they used to be.

Fred.
No. But people in the 80s and 90s would know that jingle and seen the commercials. That’s the point. These kids have no connection to anything else associated with that era of Mike or anything else.

My nephew knows the TMNT even though he’s never seen the version I grew up watching. Cause he had a newer version.

Yeezy ain’t the same.

There are almost no other major rappers with shoe or clothing brands.

There are plenty of other current NBA stars they have seen who have shoes.

So again explain why these shoes are still popular vs the more current crop except oldheads influencing the buying habits of younger kids.

Good move. They need to ban all designer and any type of jewelry. This country is too money obsessed and stunting on each other while having the lowest test scores. We need a culture reset

China banned flexing on the gram, thats why they about to crush buildings.
So it’s a good move to ban Jordans by name only? Jordans are not “designer”. And there only one athlete in the entire world who’s signature shoe needs to be banned according to them. That makes sense to you?
