Gasol to the Bucks

Possibly the Lakers, believe it or not. I think he could help them a lot.

Spurs are 27-21 right now while throwing out Jakob Poeltl, Davis Bertrans, and the rotting corpse of Pau Gasol into starting lineups. Only issue is that they don't really have any assets to throw back to them.

Lakers desperately need a center. And they have enough assets to make something work.

Celtics look a lot better now that Horford is nearly full strength again, but Gasol would still help them a lot and they could throw picks and maybe Rozier into a deal. Or maybe just trade Hayward straight up. Celtics lineups with Gasol or Horford always on the court would be a big boost, and they could easily play together too.

Mike Conley is not getting them off the treadmill

They got two future all stars in Dejounte and Lonnie so no matter what they do or who they sign outside of someone crazy like KD, they not getting off the treadmill until those two guys grow up anyway...

You look at all their deals and they expire in 2020 unless people pick up player options...so it seems like they planned to reset the team in 2020 regardless of what they do over the next two years...no point in spinning another 60 million to do it
I'm also of the mind that if they want to they can do quite a bit around draft time since they are going to have 2 first round draft pick and two young players in forbes and bertans who are elite 3 point shooters and don't make 10 million combined...they will have the assets to get a better, younger, healthier player than Mike Conley...I'm hoping they can cash in some of that for either Josh jackson or Jonathan Isaac...
