While the heinous actions of a few casts a cloud of dishonor on the title SCORPION, it is imperative that we, the Memphis Police Department take proactive steps in the healing process of all those impacted.

Statements like this tell me they'll bring this unit back under a different name once the "heat" dies down. They'll promise stronger qualification standards and oversight too, but it won't lead anywhere meaningful, just like their other so-called reform efforts.

Did they catch him raping a two year old and lose it? What (if any) happened that caused this? Quantify "beat him to death" too? Did they stomp him until he had brain damage, or did he have health conditions?

Yes my first question was what did he do because I read he was driving wreckless. I assumed he was driving thru neighborhoods making old women and kids dive out the way. If that was the case I and many others would have no problem with police putting the beats on him. I haven't heard anything else about why he was stopped, so I'm going with the angle it possibly was a illegal stop until I hear otherwise.
