Women aren't worried because there is a large pool of suckers to choose from.

If a man's worried it's because he knows the pool at a certain point is only full of predatory females who are just looking for a lifeline.

At what point in history have women ever enjoyed being alone?

Men have always broken off from society to go live alone in the woods..... in the mountains.... away from civilization. etc etc

Women have always gravitated to the safety of the group to avoid becoming dinner for lions.
This ain't caveman times Breh.. where a woman being alone meant potential danger.

We're living in a society where women really don't need men and as such are acting accordingly.

I got a few aunts who have had children, break up with the father of their child and have stayed single for like 20 years yet my uncle who seperated from his wife was onto a next women within months and stays in relationships when the previous ones don't work out.

As long as women have a social group (friends, family) they seem to be alright with being 'alone'. As for men are social group is many times little to none hence why we constantly seek out intimate relationships

The idea that women are not “AFRAID” to be alone ignores that a lot of women aren’t alone by choice.

But before we even get into that discussion what’s with this recent shift in attitudes that wanting companionship somehow makes someone weak?

We are not meant to be alone. That’s why one of the worst tortures is solitude. People need to get rid of this idea that our interactions with the opposite sex are supposed to be transactional, unless we’re lumping in conversation, companionship and attention from someone that knows you, in with the typical exchanges that come with dating and casual sex.

Forums, social media, etc. are not good substitutes for actual human interactions. The world is getting weirder by the day.

my neighbor is an old man with ZERO family, maybe he does but in the past 5 years I’ve lived here I’ve only seen one visitor.

He doesn’t even have the strength to shovel his snow or cut the grass, the neighbor across the street does it.

That man will be dead in that house for months before he is found.

Tread cautiously out there GMB/HOH scholars.

Men are the ones that go off in the woods to live by themselves never to be seen by society again. Women on the other hand can't even stand to spend a weekend alone lol

No shade but y'all gotta stop with these wild generalizations. It's comical at this point

I may be wrong but my impression is both genders do not want to be alone but men would be better at it than women.

Men are able to keep themselves busy, a woman's mind is a racing mind thinking of many things at once.
Men are thinking more in a few straight lines while women weave a large web of thoughts.

Neck ties and boxing gloves.
Almost.

You're looking at it from the wrong angle.

If we're talking about strictly sex, yes, men of course like to have the opportunity available as much as possible. More so than women.

Some men don't or are too insecure to believe they have options. So some settle for people they wouldnt without sex. Or some try to enter a friends with benefits arrangement to at least satisfy that biological need.

Because that always works.

Women do this too.

Here's where it differs. Like it or not, women have a much higher need for companionship. Typically, women are the ones who desire a fuller experience of intimacy. That's something that all the self care, family gatherings, and friend time cant fufill.

Not saying men dont benefit from that either. They most certainly do. However, at least in our society, its a more significant factor in social standing.

Be the one single woman in a social circle. You'll see you'll have a greater difficulty with acceptance from your own peers long before the challenges of living in a patriarchal society. Whether of not thats by design of said patriarchal society is a different debate altogether.

When women proclaim the idea of the "Independent Woman" they seem to be trying to convince themselves. Or other women to join them. Which kind of contradicts the term independant.

In any event, humans arent islands. We're social creatures. We require it. Look at any scientific study that examines the effects of isolation or abandonment.

And its not that men and women have different biological needs. Men benefit psychologically from a commited relationship if the partner is good. Women need and benefit from sex too. What seperates us is minimal.

The difference is where sex and companionship are prioritized by gender. Mens needs prioritize sex above companionship. Womens needs prioritize companionship. Both groups need both to live a full life.

Companionship has a lot more to do with being alone than a short biological function. Sex isnt an equivalent to the more complicated idea of "being alone" or "not being alone." It can be a factor. Companionship is much more on par.
