The Millennial Gen did what they were told to do, and now are in a rocky job market with no backup plan.

Working all day at a purposeless job is soul crushing and yet all we will tell people is suck it up and work harder.

Now it's all about whose fault it is, but how does someone gain these life skills with 20 years of mental traumas and debt up to their eyeballs?

How about the folks that end up taking care of their parents until their mid to late 50s. They have to figure out how to "live" after.

Their purpose was their parents, which while noble, makes it difficult to actually have a life. That's my aunt now.

Attitude and resilience is built not born, but you need the proper tools first. Many don't get that.

And here we are.

Usually I’d be with you, except for the fact that I believe where a lotta younger generations go wrong is viewing work as “soul crushing”.
Sure it can be. But it’s also necessary. And with as many options as we have these days to start businesses and thrive, the opportunities are there.

Also consider this: I think many in this generation are FAR too materialistic. Depending on where you live and how you live…you don’t need $100,000 to live well.

You might not be able to DoorDash everyday. Or buy $200 weaves, $400 Jordans, a new car, ect. But you can set a budget and stick to it and learn to live within your means.

We wasting too many opportunities with almost learned helplessness. I’m also concerned about people that complain about student loan debt.
But do you know how much money goes back in the pot each year b/c kids don’t even apply for scholarships and opportunities? There’s so many ways to pay for education without huge amounts of student loan debt. Any debt I accrued in my career came from traveling and spending frivolously b/c my education was paid for.

But you are right about those values being instilled…which is why I’m hypercritical of our school systems. We have all the young minds in our nation from the ages of 5-18. 180 days, 5 days a week, 8 hrs a day.

That’s a LOT of time to spend away from your family learning absolutely NO marketable skills to prepare you for life after graduation.
Every damn kid in this sorry country should graduate with some type of certification in a trade if they don’t have acceptance to a university AND funding.

A lot of what made me successful came from my school experiences and training. And a lot of those experiences are absent for a lotta kids these days and parents are too overworked to pick up where schools leave off.

When i was in a relationship, I had something to live for; felt like there was a paternal purpose in my life and I wanted to love/nurture the girl and have a family with her.


Now I'm back to my old ways, spending exorbitantly and drinking/driving drunk every weekend in the godzilla; prolly gonna go out like James Dean/Paul Walker.



It's a shame... but I control my destiny.

Find a woman thats talking some real shyt.. Family, supporting the community, education, economics etc.. Simple shyt like that. A woman thats talking about building real shyt... This is actually really bad news for Black women and Black children. I realize that a lot shyt on the thecoli boils down to some simple minded points of view, but there is a bigger issue in that story and it involves Black women and Black children. A single man can work a bunch of bullshyt jobs and eventually scratch together enough money and economic resources to get into the middle class if he were really motivated to do it. Regular dudes don't really live lavish lifestyles except for fronting purposes to get women. Otherwise a single dude by himself that works a couple of jobs can easily get into the middle class.

The reason this is bad news for Black women and small Black children, is because this is a perpetuation of single family households that continues a trend of perpetual generational poverty. Black women in the lower socioeconomic category that have children out of wedlock and rear the children in a single family home literally have no way out of the lower socioeconomic status. That is horrible and that also means that her children are growing up impoverished.

I concluded years ago that African Americans need to go back to fixed or arranged marriages. I realized that people used to hate that shyt, but in many cases that was the only way that women had husbands and children had fathers which was necessary to lift family units out of poverty. It is sad, but we may have to go backwards in order to go forward.

Man I'm currently in a relationship a great one at that but I know it will end soon because I want kids and she is older with two already (long story, kids before I was even around, never meant to get serious, etc..)

But I look out here and see whats out here and im like. From dimes to below average women too many of them are just scorned, selfish, crazy or all 3. I dont mind being single but I'm not creating a child with just anybody.

Even if you don't look good, if you can provide, women will show interest. The key difference they note is education. While a degree doesn't mean you're more intelligent than someone, women tend to go to university and become more liberal whereas men are middle, working class and lean conservative. Those two right there create a great incompatibility. Whereas men wouldn't necessarily care, women absolutely do.

I think it's waaaay easier to go broke single. I would be broke if I was single. I would fukk around too much. I found my girl early and we both had nothing and struggled together. This way both us of saved more money by living together, cooked together, spent less money going out and keep up with the joneses. Now, we gotta house and kids. Find a partner in the same stage of life and same goals. It's easier to make it happen together. If you and your girl are trying to get Insta-famous you're going to have a bad time. All the successful people I know are social media hermits but are doing it bigger than the ones that post all the time.
