real question. As a woman, it's nothing to be complimented daily/multiple times a day by men and women. Sometimes it's about looks, other times an outfit or jewelry or hairstyle...but I'm wondering how often men get complimented? Y'all gonna assume I wanna fukk if I start complimenting y'all?

Frequently? No.

But, to add a twist to your query, when I do get compliments, the common factor is that women compliment me on my smile.

Also, along racial lines, I have received more compliments by non-Black women than Black women which I find quite peculiar. Nevertheless, regardless of who is complimenting(taking about cis-gendered people only), it is always flattering. Back handed compliments were extremely rare, but they are not flattering.

I do but i wonder if its real I now know better that it doesn't mean much at the end of the day

I get “handsome” a lot. To the point I just assume women say it cuz they can’t think of something to say like how men say you got pretty eyes and cliched shyt liked that

I wear YSL cologne and get a lot of compliments on that.

Never been complimented at the gym.

Honestly I don't.

Not out of disdain or anything... I just don't want women to interpret it the wrong way.

Ex: A few years back at the one of the prior companies I worked .... there was one lady (slightly older than me) who worked for the Brazilian counculate (sp?) who just came to work looking straight out beautiful... just here whole style, hair, everything was perfect. I just didn't wanna come across wrong so I never said anything.

She was nice and smiled at me often in the elevator though.

A long long time ago when I was in retail management, an employee said that I was cute for a Black guy. As offensive as it was, I believe she said that because the dudes she messed with hated Blacks, at least then men. Nevertheless, it was a backhanded compliment and racially offensive.

As for other men, the examples you have given could have been said to them or something that mentions their age, social economic status, ethnicity, etc..
