I open doors for whoever if it works out that way and feels natural. Not gonna stand and wait but if you're right behind me, I'll hold the door open while I'm looking back waiting for you to catch it. Still walking in first.

i dont open car doors. im too impatient to be walkin back n forth :pacspit: these bytches can open their own car doors. my friend asked me to go with him to cop a laptop once and took his bytch with him. swear we lost like 10 minutes with this bytchboy walkin back n forth opening the door for that bird. i wanted to beat the shyt out of both of them.

but i hold open doors for people if they're within 5 feet, if not :manny:

Only elderly, handicapped, injured, and pregnant women get my seat. :mjpls:

However if I'm with a woman, be it my girl, a friend, or family, I'm letting them take the only seat.

Opening building doors is nothing. I do that as the situation presents itself.

A certain Willie D song just popped in my mind today (old school Geto Boys fans know which one). And it sparked this question. I'll be honest. Sometimes I don't. I was at a conference this summer and the room was jam packed. And the speaker said "I know the fellas are going to give up their seats for the ladies. I was tired so I thought to myself :stopitslime:. And just sat there. Now, I do open doors (though to be honest, it might be for selfish reasons to check a woman out). I don't open car doors except for this one friend of mine who literally will sit there until you open her door. What about you? And ladies are you the type who will sit there until the car door is open for you?

No; however, I am the type of lady who thinks if you already have to pass my car door when we are headed to the car, why not open it? I have no problem just jumping out of the car when we are at our destination and it feels quite natural to do so. The goes for my man not random men or my platonic male friends.

Although I'm a woman, I sometimes open doors for friends and I ALWAYS hold the door for people behind me. I show deference to older people. I don't mind giving up my seat to an older person, a pregnant woman, or child. If I'm with a friend my age and we don't both have a seat, I don't mind getting up and alternating so her feet don't get tired. I was raised to be polite.

Really?

You do know chivalrous acts came at a time when women were viewed as so weak to even hold open the door?

Every time you do an act of chivalry you are spitting in the face of women who fought for the right to vote and work.

I do. If you want to be looked at like the man you have to act like one. Nevermind what the female does, establish yourself as the man. Thats where some dudes go wrong in my opinion.
