This is bullshyt. My sister got friends (men) who were stuck in dead end jobs in their 40s. They became LPNs, still went to school while working, became RNs and now making bank. Especially during this pandemic.

Depends on what field you get in to.

In my mid 30s now, I'm starting to understand this. It's not just men tho; It's everyone.

But speaking on men; I got some home boys almost touching 40; trying to go to uni for something STEM, emergency services related but keep pushing it back because they don't wanna do math or take out a loan.

We talk about trades but he's not trying to do any grunt work as an apprentice and it's back breaking work that's for young people, especially if you're not a handy person or ever worked a trade before.

People really underestimate trade workers until it's time to call one. A tradesman and a labourer aren't the same.
