I will text a man or a woman, but will not hold a conversation with texting. Plus, is it easier, if they at work and cannot talk on the phone. I shoot a text and keep it moving.

Basically where I stand with it as well.

Holding a text conversation with another male is out of the question, but I hate holding a "text conversation" with a female too.

If it's a conversation we're about to have, then a phone call needs to be made. Not a million back n forth text messages like we're 2 tweenage girls popping bubblegum in middle school.

If a phone call cannot be made at the moment, then the conversation does not need to happen at the moment. And if the conversation is of an urgent nature and just has to happen, then, by all means gtf off the phone with me and dial 911 !

Texting is for quick communication when calling IS NOT AN OPTION. That was it's initial purpose and how it was marketed when cell phone companies first introduced it.

Unfortunately, for many, texting has now fully taken the place of actually talking, instead of being a backup to actually talking.

I refuse to "hold a conversation" with another man in a text message. Hell, there was a time when I refused to text another man, period.

If I have something to tell a homie then I make every effort to call him and tell it to him. And if I can't call right at the moment then I make every effort to just wait until I can call.

If it's completely unavoidable, then I will text him. But it's purely just for logistics, ie: "I'll get the 24pk, Jay's getting the BBQ, meetup is at 4:30p, Colonial Park."
