I used to agree with you and think old school relationship were all essentially a group of women with stockholmes Syndrome serving their men just because they use to it no matter how he treats them.
But now i think its just a tactic to give yourself value like any other in order to keep a man loyal. Some women think their value comes from their looks and all they need to do is to keep looking pretty. Other women think serving their man gives them value.
Realistically though this way of thinking is harmful only when using it as a basis for the entire relationship. Ie: thats the reason yall together. If you get together for more organic reasons and then do stuff like this just to maintain, its actually healthy imo. People have to nurture their relationship in some way, whether its by always being captivating, or just being an incredible lover or a myriad of other things. Its all up to the individuals case by case.you gotta find your “love language”
So basically what im saying is context matters. You not gonna get that from a 20 second tiktok. But what works for mom isn’t always gonna work for daughter, so they can both be right
