Serious question: Is aggressiveness, persistence, and overall a man's willingness to ignore mixed signals and continue advancement on a female the best overall qualities a man can have?

As an aside, on NYE my man's girlfriends friend was part of our group of partygoers. I was pleasant to shorty, but I interpreted her behavior as disinterest towards me, so I didnt really dance up on her and pursue her...Anyway, i woke up the next day receiving angry text messages from the other members of the group. Apparently she made it a point to ask "what was wrong with me" to them during the party, and out of frustration she left with another dude. I never picked up on any of that.

Ive noticed this pattern where I seem to upset girls because of my lack of aggressiveness. If I interpret a signal as disinterest in me, I completely abandon any and all pursuit. Its a hangup I suppose, but I just inclined to be gentlemanly and act within myself.

Persistence is good to an extent. Try again if you feel her being disinterested, but if she continually rejects it means she doesn't like you and is annoyed. Women are pretty clear about rejection. At least I am. I don't return calls, I have flat out laughed in mens' faces to reject them. Women are mean about rejecting because they have to be.... So simple disinterest does not mean she doesn't/couldn't like you.
