You're right but...men aren't flooding trade jobs right now. Instead they're working retail or doing factory work (Amazon). I think a major problem with modern men is becoming comfortable with the path of least resistance. There was a time when a large portion of men went to college (and got a good job), learned a trade, or joined the military. Decades of coddling has produced a group of men who seem unwilling to compete with women or even each other. Instead of focusing on higher education as a path to higher success, many men burn out of college and then find a level of comfort in low/mid wage jobs. This would have been an embarrassing, unacceptable situation to most young men in the 70s, 80s, or 90s.
Millions of men go to work, come home and consume media for the rest of the night - TV, movies, videogames. They have zero interest in pursuing women. They have no social skills. They have zero interest in pursuing education or getting significantly better jobs because everything they want - the biggest TV, the best PC, the desired gaming console - is accessible with their wages. Their cost of living isn't high because they don't have a lot of liabilities or costs. Pay rent, buy food, that's it.
