Play it safe and remake/port the og series. I would’ve been down for a continuation of the series. If it was done by Kojima’s protégés or team. At least collab with Platinum again for a MGR2. I’m all for new blood but this is Konami we’re talking about lol.

I mean gameplay and level design wise, remaking MGS would pretty much mean making a new game.

I hope they go ahead with it, do MG 1 or MGS 1 after this.

I also wouldn't be againts another team remaking MG 1 and 2 in a modernized classic style, kinda like nintendo does with Zelda, modernize the first 2 ones while keeping the simple top view gameplay and let Virtuos handle the first 3 MGS.

MGS 1 pretty much took a lot of the concepts from MG1/2 and put them in the game.

If you play both you recognize them instantly.

I say reimagine MGS 1 and just throw in some of the story from MG1/2. Make all three one big game cuz you’d have to flesh them out anyway. They weren’t long games, by today’s standards.

As much as they’d have to rebuild the game they at least got a basic blueprint for it with the original, they don’t have to completely change the layout.

I just know if the original MGS team was there you’d get a lot of new gameplay conventions, Yoji would bless the original games with updated designs, new score, etc. without the original team I really don’t see the point.

I think the best thing they could do is create spinoff series that they can do whatever they want with without pissing off fans
