At one point, Meth was the dude that everyone thought would be the GOAT.

I remember in '94, he was on Rap City, and the whole interview was based on questions about him preparing to take over Hip Hop as its best MC. He said B.I.G. told him he didn't want anyone on RTD, but him. That's how much hype he had around him at the time. I think his legacy with Wu is solidified, but what he needed was a classic solo. He's way too talented to not have that undeniable classic. Always felt like once he started acting, he got a little lazy with focusing on the music. He's still dope enough today to knock out a few classic projects, if he has the right people working on it with him.
