I always liked Meth, because even if he didn't have the dopest verse, his flow, cadence and charisma was able to hide that fact.

No disrespect to other Wu-members, but whenever I'd think of the Wu, I'd think of Method Man and not let's say ODB, RZA or Ghost.

But better than Nas, and prime Nas at that? Maybe in certain aspects, but as an overall emcee, nah.

I mean at one point he was probably the most popular New York rapper, but overall career and primes? I dont know

I mean I think Tical is a classic but heads view it as a disappointment too

I mean I think Tical is a classic but heads view it as a disappointment too and kinda down him for not having a classic (Which I dont think is true)

I'll say this, at one point he was the man but never really had solo career to back it up

When was Method Man prime anyway? Because I know he wasn't in his prime when he dropped his solo albums. and when it comes to Wu group albums, he was never the best performer.

Red's
tonite's the nite remix.
Is the crown jewel of the styles era skillwise.
While the original is the magnum opus instrumental of the style era and arguably the totality of all rap arguably.
the super saiyan skill that no one has really touched for real is red on the remix to tonite's the night.

That record doesn't get mentioned here nearly enough other than in the Dare Iz threads, Redman absolutely floating on it :whoo:
