I remember when those posters for that album were up at the CD Depot back in 09.
Those albums weren’t moving that much.
I wanted that album but my Mom said “No”because of the weed references by Red. She let me get It Was Written by Nas so I was still happy.
Busta’s album was asscheeks too looking back.
Dude was trying to hard to capitalize off the Trap sound.
Hustler’s Anthem remix was my fav back in the day so I’m not tripping simply because Busta got my nikkas OJ Da Juiceman and Gucci

But 88 to 96’ were the last great years of Hip Hop across the board
After that it got watered down and janky
Not that there weren’t great albums but the movement got taken over by the suits and shyt became monkey see monkey do and business as usual and it went corporate

After '96, the underground was still thriving until like '99 though. But overall, we went from being spoiled by classics left and right, to having to search for decent sh*t that we could play forever. It was weird.
