Nope...ain't the issue...i have a pretty good speaker/sub setup hooked up to my laptop, everything else on the tube (that's actually properly mastered) is crystal clear...which is probably why it sounds so much worse on what i'm playing it on than what yall are listening to it on...
it's the shyt mastering of their albums...their shyt doesn't sound good on a system...which is why nikkaS never fukked with them.

a) immaculate mixing kills grittiness and authenticity, which are the driving spirits behind this whole hip hop shyt

K-Rino is an underground artist who doesn't have corporate hymies funding his studio time...and i've never heard an album/song from him as badly mixed/mastered as the song in the OP.
And i've heard all 30+ of them muthafukkas.
Even his 1st song from '86 has better mastering than that.
The sound quality of a underground song recorded in DJ Paul's mommas closet is what we're comparing to a major label release...and yet still somehow has superior mixing/mastering than the song in the OP.
We're really talking mastering on a '94 track off an album made under the stress of remaking most the songs b/c a flood wiped them out?
