Wow. So there's only three tracks on here (one if the outro and intro aren't really music) that don't have a feature? This isn't a solo project as much as it's a compilation album featuring too many artists that I give zero fukks about. Streelife on a couple tracks is ok, as is a couple tracks with Wu members. That's fine, but what happened to a legitimate solo album where you held down the majority of the project down for dolo? This sh!t looks worse than those Game compilation projects where he has almost as many features as he does name-drops on a single song. I might be the only dude that feels like this but, other than Meth's debut, and maybe the Blackout joints, there's really no reason to check his discography with the exception of the Wu albums. I swear this dude has had one of the most disappointing careers, at least as it pertains to artists who were hot during the 90's to early 2G.

Real talk, take away his debut album, and he's basically U-God status as it pertains to his solo records. I can't believe this sh!t. I'm really disappointed with this track list. What happened to the Crystal Meth project? Why can't Rza connect with these dudes and give us what we want? Why is it that Ghost and to a lesser extent Rae, are the only members of the Wu who attempt to actually take their craft seriously? This sh!t is disgusting. Wow. Fukkin pathetic brehs. Like if you were to compare Wu Tang to a rotiserie chicken, Meth would be a gizard at this point. His career to me is like the object that you thought the vacuum would sweep up from the carpet and when it doesn't you pick up the object and throw it back down to try and sweep it again. You might do that twice at the most, and then your common sense kicks in and you turn the vacuum off and walk to the garbage can and throw the object in the can. That's how I feel about Meth's discography, hoping and praying that some day, one day, somewhere down the line, he'll drop a true followup to his debut. Nope, just more half azzed projects. Fukkin ridiculous. Wow.

My question to you is what do we want?

For some one who people feel hasn't had a great solo album, he's still doing a ton of shows. The Crystal Mef project or whatever the title will be is in the works, and it will probably be his last album. Meth is trying to put people on with this one.

Wu-Tang Clan rapper Method Man had previously promised to release his mixtape The Meth Lab last spring, but that never came to pass. Now, the project has been upped from a mixtape to a proper album, and it has finally got a firm release date.

Not to get it confused with his long-delayed Crystal Meth album, Method Man was initially set to release his mixtape, The Meth Lab last March. Since then, Meth has announced the project will now be an album and will be released on August 21. Here’s what he had to with theNerdist on what we can expect.

“I kept it real and low-key, like I do in my studio. I know a lot of artists that have reached out, but I wanted to save those artists for my last Method Man album. I wanted this one to be a platform for more Staten Island artists to be heard that aren’t getting heard, because you know if it isn’t Wu Tang–I mean, we never blocked anyone from trying to get a record deal. I mean the way the record industry works is, if something’s not broke, don’t fix it. Bottom line is there’s a lot more talent to be heard from Staten Island outside of Wu Tang artists, and these kids are dope. I wanted to just give them a platform to be heard. I’m on every song, but I’m not exactly on any songs by myself, with the exception of one.”

Appreciate the informative response breh. At the same time I can appreciate an established emcee providing a platform for up and coming and underappreciated artists to show and prove. Still the question has to be asked, how often do any of these artists actually show and prove? Very few ever have that "it" factor. For every Nas-Live At the BBQ, there's 999 guest artists that nobody wants to hear. This I fear, matter fact not even fear as I know, is one of those situations. I'm sorry, but I'm gonna pass on this project. I'm not a fan of local neighborhood rappers as they all tend to be trash and just do whatever is popular at the moment. Their little made for Public Access TV videos, where they're holding styrofoam cups, posing in cars, wearing colors, throwin up signs, etc.. Nothing original, and even when original it's not entertaining. But that's local neighborhood rap for you. And that's what this project is. Local neighborhood rap masquerading as an album from a has-been who could have been the KONY at one point. Nowadays he barely registers within his own camp. U-God's verse on Rec Room Therapy>Meth's discography post his debut album.

You don't have to buy it. That's fine. You gave it a listen and you didn't like it. It is what it is.

Tical 2000 Meth and Street Life were just spitting heavy bars. Dudes hated the skits and bashed the entire disc.

Killa Sin and Rae straight spazzing

Mobb and Hell Razah on a track together, Hav wasn't trying to be outshined by Prodigy either.

Meth was hurt by the reviews on this and never rapped like this again.
