Not classic albums, but classic or near-classic songs.
I don't think I've ever seen a region so dependent on just one producer.
Let's start with Future:
Dude is garbage almost every time he gets on the studio. All of his albums are garbage on varying degrees. Even his work with Metro is more often

than not. But when Metro hands him a
fire beat? It usually ends up being a top 10 Future song. Without Karate Chop, I Serve the Base, Mask Off, Big Rings (6 God help?) he would have nothing going for him. The only exception to this is Move that Dope,
don't bother mentioning Same Damn Time because we all know no one is playing that in 2018.
21 Savage:
Not necessarily my cup of tea, but I can't deny he had some heat on Savage Mode. The first 3 songs on that tape are undeniable. His previous mixtapes before Savage Mode are complete trash, and when 21's production has work from other producers, it's complete trash (take a look at Issa).
Migos:
Before they were fading away from irrelevancy, Metro hit 'em up with the best song of their career. Hell, I'd assume if they just got some lousy beat for Bad 'n Boujee, they would've been irrelevant. Crazy how one song can save a career:
Rae Sremmurd:
While I respect that they have no shame in being watered-down pop-rap, they have nothing that will stick with heads. Not even T'd Up which Metro produced.
Travis:
He only has one song that will be remembered, let's keep it real (Thank you Metro for this beat):
anything released this decade from 2 Chainz / Wayne / Ross / Jeezy / TI has been extremely
The only rapper from the South who has classic songs without Metro is Playboi Carti. So what does that tell you?
