I hate you late 90s - 2000s babies
Who tf said I was a late 90s 2000s baby? You old nikkas be so mad that times change it’s sad. Metro is the best producer of this time. Dre was the best 20 years ago. Facts is facts. Name somebody of this time better than metro.

Pierre way better and he can spit too unlike metro who just poses
How can you compare that guy to metro dude don’t have the billboard success or the versatility. All his beats sound the same like old neptunes beats. Dude not even in the same league.

agree to disagree. never heard a wack Hitboy beat
I’m not a fan of a lot of his stuff with Dom Kennedy either. But yea it depends on your preference. Metro has dark beats that sound like a motion picture and I rock with his consistency. Hit boy is cooo but I prefer metro.

Metro basically the reason why music sounds different today. That spacey, mean, heavy, dark vibe but with more energy was Metro.

Pop and hip-hop music production was sounding large like this before Metro brought that vibe:

All modern beatmakers know this video right here:

The last 10 years (literally) got Metro's impact all over it. How many producers have had a relevant 10 year run?

I know what Metro did for Future but let’s not try to revise history as if Future didn’t have years of projects and big hits before linking with Metro. Future was not Young Scooter or Mexico Rann status before him lmao

Nah, we not gon give Metro all the credit for future blowing up to new heights. Metro, Southside, the whole 808 mafia, nard & b, Zaytoven and more all did their thing.

Monster, Beast mode and 56 nights all simultaneously dropped within a few months of each other. To say future was going to fall off before metro is stretch, he had too much heat coming out from different producers.
he started the run though, was future going to drop 56 nights and beast mode without the monster project?

Metro is having his “Moment” as a breakthrough mainstream artist and when you are having that moment of course you are going to feel like you deserve all the awards and accolades because as artists validation is important BUT what Metro has to comprehend is that awards and awards shows are political in nature, its NOT about strictly the music. Heroes & Villains was more critically acclaimed than Her Loss so you’d expect those same critics to give the former more accolades than the latter but awards are about politics, who you (or your management or label) can bribe or payoff, and narrative. The actual quality of the MUSIC is often the least considered factor in the equation. Drake is still more popular than Metro and more visible given that he raps and Metro doesn’t m. Thats going to give Drake an advantage.

If Metro wants to win more awards he should campaign. Thats really all he can do

nah after Future was going in a diff direction while engaged to Ciara and his shyt was NOT hittin like that anymore. We ain't gonna act like the streets wasn't side eyeing him a lot with that Honest album. Metro being the exec producer on Monster was a definite return to the Future we grew to love but sounded more polish etc.
