I feel the same way. Now if amnestying Ron was the difference between us getting a much better player at that position then go for it. But using the amnesty at all is pretty pointless as its only a tiny dent in the tax and overall doesn't really help the team.
Now don't get me wrong, Artest has been a walking fukk up the last two seasons especially last year but hell if Gasol has gotten chances why not Artest? His expiring K might be helpful towards the trade deadline if we gotta move him. But to me, Ron is cool if hes strictly playing defense and making hustle plays, he does that better than pretty much every other player we have and its something we need.
