In NY/NJ though you would never mistake the two, the Mexicans there are all from Southern Mexico and are very indigenous looking.
yeah it seems like most mexicans on the east coast are recent arrivals with Strong indigenous rooots.
most Mexicans in the chi are basically white/mestizo and there's a lot more first and 2nd gen mexicans than on the east coast.
Im not sure exactly what pert of mexico they come from, but outside of mexicans with strong indian blood and the ricans with noticeable african ancestry,
All of .them pretty much look similar to me
